Grace College Online Names Dr. Ken McEwan Director of the Online MBA Program

Grace College recently named Dr. Ken McEwan the director of its online MBA program. McEwan has worked at Grace College for nine years following a 32-year finance career with a global aerospace corporation. He earned his B.B.A. from University of Kentucky, his MBA from University of Cincinnati and his D.B.A. from Liberty University.

“I plan to grow the MBA program by adding new concentrations that meet the most pressing needs in the business sector and continuing to recruit undergraduate business students at Grace to participate in the accelerated bachelor’s and master’s program,” said McEwan. “This year, we had nearly 50 undergraduate students enroll in the program, but I would love to see that number continue to go up as we educate our students about the value of an MBA,” he said.

According to a U.S. News article, now is a prime time to get an MBA. The National Association of Colleges and Employers predicts that “the average starting salary for MBA grads in the class of 2021 will be $87,966 – 11.3% higher than the average starting salary among 2020 grads.” The pay bump is due to an increased demand in the finance, insurance and real estate sectors.

The online MBA program at Grace gives students an overview of business principles such as operations management, economics, business law, finance and leadership through a Christian perspective.

The online, eight-week sessions are designed for full-time employees and enable students to schedule their coursework around their lives. Learners will complete the program alongside a cohort of peers and will learn from highly qualified, engaged faculty who regularly interact with students.

According to McEwan, “Grace’s MBA is an ideal fit for individuals who want to add value in the business sector. We talk about character, competence and service a lot in the courses. My overall goal is to continue developing a robust program that prepares students for successful and meaningful careers in the business sector,” McEwan said.
